1. Who we are

Springwell Lodges, Dunhill Road, Coleraine, BT51 4JA, Northern Ireland. We are the data controller for the information described here, meaning we decide why and how it is used.

2. What we collect

Only what you give us, when you book, join the waiting list, ask for offers or create an account. Nothing is bought from third parties and nothing is inferred about you.

Your IP address and, where you gave one, your email address	When you book, check dates, join the waiting list, ask for offers or sign in	To stop abuse, such as someone trying thousands of bookings or passwords. Kept for no more than 30 days, then deleted automatically.

Please don't put sensitive information, such as health details, in the notes box. We don't ask for it and don't need it. If you do share something, we use it only to prepare for your stay and don't keep it longer than necessary.

3. Card payments

We never see your card number. Payment is handled by Stripe. The card form on our payment page is served by Stripe, and your card details travel from your browser to Stripe directly. They do not pass through this website, our servers, or anyone at Springwell.

What we receive back is confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits, which is what lets us match a payment to your booking and process refunds.

Stripe is a payment processor in its own right and handles your card data as a controller under its own privacy policy, not ours.

4. What we do not collect

• No advertising or marketing tracking of any kind. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing similar.
• No location tracking.
• No access to your camera, contacts or microphone.
• Your data is never sold, rented or shared with advertisers.
• Other guests never see your name, email or booking. The database is configured so each account can read only its own records.

5. Cookies and similar storage

This site sets no cookies of its own on any page you can browse. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.

Three things do use storage, and all three are necessary for something you asked for:

• Staying signed in. If you create an account, your session is kept in your browser's local storage so you are not asked to sign in on every visit.
• Your booking in progress. While you choose a lodge and dates, that choice is held in session storage so it survives moving between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• Stripe, on the payment page only. Stripe sets cookies to detect fraud. This is strictly necessary to take a payment safely and is exempt from consent requirements under UK cookie law.

If analytics are ever added, that position changes and a proper consent banner becomes a legal requirement, not an option.

6. Who else handles your data

Stripe	Takes payment. Handles card data directly, as described above.
Supabase	Hosts the account and booking database, and handles sign in.
Vercel	Hosts the website.
Google Fonts	Delivers the typefaces. Loading a font exposes your IP address to Google for that request. No account or profile is created.
Apple and Google	Distribute the app, under their own privacy terms rather than ours.

7. Where your data is held

Account and booking data is stored with Supabase, on servers in Ireland, in the European Union. UK data protection law recognises the EU as protecting personal data to the same standard as the UK, so no further safeguard is needed for it to be held there.

8. How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a dispute, a refund, or a legal request. Payment records are kept for six years, which is what UK tax law requires.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or give you a copy in a portable format. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us and we will do it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Children

Springwell Lodges is a holiday letting business. The site and app are not directed at children, and an account should only be created by someone old enough to enter into a booking.
